Hiring in India is rigged.
We're building the fix.
Wooble is a hiring platform where tech people get seen for what they build, not what their resume says, what college they went to, or who they know.
Talent isn't what gets hired. Access is.
In India, the student who built the thing and the student who paid someone to build the thing walk into the same interview. One has the skills. The other has the network. Guess who gets hired.
This isn't a bug in the hiring system. It's the system. Resumes reward credentials over work. Referrals reward networks over merit. Every filter favours the people who already had the advantage.
They told us the meritocracy was real. They lied.
I spent my college years in Bhubaneswar watching two different Indias.
India A: The students who "gamed" the system. They bought their projects, polished their resumes with buzzwords, and used their networks to skip the line.
India B: The builders. The ones shipping code in the dark, learning by breaking things, with no "uncles" in high places and no pedigree to hide behind.
In 2020, I watched India A win. Not because they were better, but because the system was designed for them. Resumes reward those who can afford the brand. Referrals reward those who already have the advantage.
I watched the best developers I knew get rejected by companies that never even looked at their code.
That's why Wooble exists.
We are done with "which college?" We are done with "who do you know?" We are building a world where the only thing that matters is: "What did you build?"
This isn't business for me. It's personal. I'm building the platform I wish my students had - a place where proof beats pedigree, every single time.
Four things we won't argue about.
Work is the only honest resume.
Credentials can be bought. Projects can't be faked when someone vetted reads them.
Talent is everywhere. Opportunity isn't.
Skill is evenly distributed across India. Access to hiring teams is not. We exist to close that gap.
Submission isn't the end.
Every project submitted on Wooble becomes reviewed, scored, and hiring-grade proof. Not a line on a resume nobody reads.
Companies should come to you.
The best way to hire is to see the work first and reach out. The best way to get hired is to build work worth reaching out for.
One structural change. Everything downstream of it.
Most hiring platforms index resumes. We index work. You submit a project to a hackathon on Wooble. A senior practitioner reads it end-to-end within 72 hours. You get a numerical score and written feedback. It lives on your profile forever. Hiring teams browse the leaderboard daily and reach out directly. No applications. No gatekeepers. No college filter.
Early. Already real.
Here's the honest state of the platform today:
Wooble is incubated by STPI EmTeK under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology. Recognised by Startup India, Startup Odisha, and MeitY. Built in Bhubaneswar. Shipping for everyone.
An India where what you build is what gets you hired.
Not a platform. Infrastructure. A place where every tech person in India has a verified portfolio of real work, and every hiring team knows to come here to find them. Where "which college?" stops being the first question. Where the honest student wins.
We're not there yet. We're building toward it every week.
